On Sunday February 25th, the Government of Acre declared a State of Emergency for 17 municipalities, including Marechal Thaumaturgo, affected by flooding of rivers and streams.
Riverside inhabitants face widespread devastation. Families do not have access to food or electricity. Their fields, a source of food and livelihood, have been completely submerged by water. Chicken and ducks have drowned. Fish ponds are flooded and the fish are lost. Approximately 20,000 people are affected, of which 5,000 have lost their homes and/or belongings.&nbsp;
The Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute has not been spared, with portions of the premises completely submerged, including our fish ponds. Fish now swim where there was once solid ground. Some of the houses are inundated, their first floors submerged, along with the communal kitchen.
It is a desperate situation for the whole community. Through this fundraising initiative, we are committed to providing the necessary support to help people rebuild their lives. Our goal is to extend a hand to those in Marechal Thaumaturgo who have been forced to leave their homes and have lost their means of survival, while also fixing the damage incurred at the Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute.
We appeal to everyone's generosity to contribute donations and resources that will make a significant difference to the lives of this community. Together, we can encourage hope and recovery in this moment of great loss and devastation.

O Governo do Acre declarou estado de emerg&ecirc;ncia para 17 munic&iacute;pios, incluindo Marechal Thaumaturgo, afetados por inunda&ccedil;&otilde;es de rios e riachos no &uacute;ltimo domingo (25 de fevereiro).
Os ribeirinhos, em particular, enfrentam uma devasta&ccedil;&atilde;o generalizada. Seus ro&ccedil;ados, fonte de alimento e sustento, foram completamente submersos pelas &aacute;guas. As galinhas e patos foram perdidos nas &aacute;guas. A trag&eacute;dia se estende aos viveiros de peixes, agora inundados, onde os peixes tamb&eacute;m foram perdidos. As fam&iacute;lias n&atilde;o t&ecirc;m acesso a comida ou eletricidade. Aproximadamente 20.000 pessoas s&atilde;o afetadas, das quais 5.000 perderam suas casas e/ou pertences.
O Instituto Yorenka Tasorentsi, tamb&eacute;m, n&atilde;o foi poupado, com partes de suas instala&ccedil;&otilde;es submersas, incluindo os a&ccedil;udes. Peixes agora nadam onde antes havia solo firme. Certas casas est&atilde;o inundadas, seus primeiros andares submersos, junto com a cozinha comunit&aacute;ria.
&Eacute; uma situa&ccedil;&atilde;o triste para a comunidade. Nosso objetivo &eacute; estender uma m&atilde;o solid&aacute;ria para aqueles que foram for&ccedil;ados a deixar suas casas e perderam seus meios de sobreviv&ecirc;ncia em Marechal e para os danos sofridos no Instituto Yorenka Tasorentsi.
Por meio desta iniciativa de arrecada&ccedil;&atilde;o de fundos, estamos firmemente comprometidos em fornecer o apoio necess&aacute;rio para ajudar as comunidades a reconstruir suas vidas. Apelamos &agrave; generosidade de todos para contribuir com doa&ccedil;&otilde;es e recursos que possam fazer uma diferen&ccedil;a real na vida dessas pessoas. Juntos, podemos criar esperan&ccedil;a e recupera&ccedil;&atilde;o neste momento de perda e devasta&ccedil;&atilde;o.
